A New Protected Area Established in Vinnytsia Oblast to Conserve the European Ground Squirrel
A new local landscape reserve, “Khovrashyvia,” has been established in Vinnytsia Oblast to protect an important habitat of the European ground squirrel (Spermophilus citellus), a rare and endangered mammal species.
