These unique and highly threatened ecosystems are not just a national treasure; they are a critical ecological asset for the entire European continent.

As a prominent player in Ukrainian conservation, the Ukrainian Nature Conservation Group (UNCG) is a dedicated team of conservation scientists and biologists deeply concerned with the state of Ukraine’s wild nature, especially in these challenging times. Our core mission is clear: we work tirelessly to improve environmental legislation, to expand the network of protected areas, and to ensure that Ukraine’s unique wild nature remains intact and protected. Despite the war and the immense challenges, our commitment is unwavering: we continue to fight for the wild nature of Ukraine!

Our organization and its crucial conservation work are not funded by the government.

Yet, the success of our mission will determine the country we return to — and whether we will have natural riverbanks, thriving wildlife, and healthy forests left after the victory.
